Merry Xmas

Well it is that time again
Time to unwrap gifts, dig the lovo, and hope it doesn't rain

It is time to reflect and say thanks
It has been an eventful year, thanks to some cranks

But it is not the time to be grumpy
Lets just be happy, we all know the road at times can be bumpy

Lets remember some of our friends
With whom we had had some fun and for the good times, say thanks

To all who hid behind WhyFijiiscrying and now its clone, Solivakasama
We say Merry Christmas, to you, your friends and your bubu, big mama

You think you are so smart, your identities are known to no one
C'mon, don't insult us, ask anyone at USP, Pacific Magazine,or even Fiji One

You don't have to be Einstein, you don't have far to go
FYPCN, 5 letters, thats all you need to know

We don't publish bomb making instructions like Solivakasama and WFC
The people will decide who they trust, you wait and see

No wonder WFC changed its name to Solivakasama
All that hate, target soldiers families, bomb tourists, geez its enough to scare all but Osama

We are the Loyal Fijian
Its not a name, its an identify, a place for news, views and some fun

Some much speculation, and rumours about our identity, is it him, we, he or she?
Its been there all along, just read under Who are we?

You will notice we are not publishing any names
LF High Command says we wont drop to your level, we wont be like you, be so hateful and lame

No copy and pasting paragraphs from Fijilive and Fijitimes online editions here
We publish our original thoughts without favour or fear

So this Christmas, sleep tight at Dilo Street
Santa Claus will be coming with a sackful of treats

Merry Christmas to Dan the Man
Let it be known Dan, we are not your foes but your fans

Merry Christmas to Bainivore, to you we say Ho Ho Ho
What a name, but hey you reap what you sow

Merry Christmas to FijianBlack
Kai, see you at Traps, lets down some Fiji Bitter, down the big dark neck

Merry Christmas to Keep the Faith
Lets have lunch, low fat, Im watching my weight

Thank you to one and all for your emails and feedback
We are glad that you enjoyed our work, even you at FICAC

Our poem on the lovely Lisa, the Admin Manager at FICAC sent the server into meltdown
Except from the Attorney General, who threatened to sue and chase us out of town

Isnt it amazing how we do this each time
Make it all so funny and make it rhyme

FICAC Gets First Conviction, at last

That much derided entity, FICAC managed to secure its first conviction.

A former accounts clerk for the Wainikoro Fisheries Co-operative was sentenced to 18 months in jail in the Labasa Magistrates Court yesterday, for stealing money amounting to about $3000 from the co-operative’s account.

Readers will be aware of Moti "Cowboy" Rattan up in Babasiga throwing his weight around after the coup as the local sheriff after he managed to get a FICAC badge.

He was running after refrigerators that Survivor crew had donated to Labasa Old Peoples Home.

Well it appears that Cowboy didn't have everything his way and he himself was subject of an internal investigation.

So it must come as a huge relief to FICAC Northern Division now that it has has managed to get a first conviction.

FICAC Deputy Commissioner George Langman said the conviction and sentence was testament of the tireless effort of the Commission’s officers.

Wooooo Hooooo

Yeah right.

And the big fish just swim on.

NASIR ALI, OH HOW THE WHEEL TURNS!

Nasir Ali will now get to smell the "beautiful" PAFCO breeze in the old Capital, the beautiful Levuka as Inspector.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen or in Nasir Ali's case, fallen AGAIN!

As most of us remember, Nasir Ali has once before been booted out of the Police Force only to be given the spotlight as the Chief Investigator of that bunch of incompetent bumbling fools knows as FICAC.

Nasir Ali couldnt believe his luck when he was brought out from retirement to be appointed the TOP DOG in FICAC as it went out trying to prove "corruption" in the old regime. (No cases of corruption have been brought before the courts and FICAC officers are more interested in securing training trips to Malaysia than doing any actual investigating.)

Night after night he appeared on our television screens telling the people of Fiji that there were 479 files of alleged corruption sitting on his desk for investigations and he was going to nail them all, leading raids into the offices of Fiji Development Bank and Fiji Holdings and conveniently appearing for the newpaper cameras when his "boys" raided PWD.

No doubt about it, Nasir Ali was having the time of his life.

But, deep down his hatred of certain officers in the Police whom he held responsible for his earlier sacking continued to burn. He embarked on a campaign of retribution against those he held responsible.

Then came the day that Nasir Ali had been waiting for. He was appointed as the Assistant Police Commissioner (Crime) and sent back into the Force to conduct a clean up campaign.

His day had arrived. Beware all those who had crossed Nasir Ali.

Rumours of discontent in the Police have been circulating around the grog basins for a while. The confiscation of his vehicle by Deputy Commissioner Eroni Antonio, the Force was ripe with rumours of an impending purge. Nasir Ali was about to be kicked out again.

But Nasir has very powerful friends, very powerful!

And so Nasir stayed.

And for all those who may be rejoicing, a word of caution. Nasir still has very powerful friends. Just ask the Attorney General!

This story is far from over..............the Levuka quarters need not be cleaned out right away!

FICAC's MYSTERY Warrant

FICAC removed confidential documents form FIRCA last week on the basis of a "warrant" which they claim to have obtained.

FICAC has been conducting an "investigation" against Justice Daniel Fatiaki. In its desire to obatin incriminating evidence against him, FICAC removed his tax returns and other confidential documents form FIRCA.

Well, it now appears, the Chairman of FIRCA, Filipe Bole, did not see such a warranta and even if such a warrant did exist, it was not enough to remove confident ail FIRCA documents.

Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority Board chairman Filipe Bole says he never sighted the purported search warrant for the tax office for suspended Chief Justice Daniel Fatiaki's tax records.

He said he thought that even a search warrant was not enough to be used to extract tax information on an individual as a Magistrate Court would not have the powers to grant the FICAC permission to confiscate the tax records of any citizen.

The mystery of FICAC's "warrant" further heightened when it was revealed that Magistrates Court Registry had no records of such an order because it did not come through them.

Sources within FIRCA reveal that FIRCA has been abuzz with rumours that FICAC agents questioned staff about documents relating to an IG Minister.
  • Did FICAC fake a warrant to obatin Daniel Fatiakis tax records?
  • What other information were FICAC agents after, given the controvesy over a IG Ministers reported milliions stashed away in a bank account?

FICAC investigations to take years

The new Deputy FICAC head honcho, Lt Col Wesley Langman is trying to tell us that it will take years to reveal the results from the investigations.

It sure seems to me someone is trying to dampen the expectations of the Fiji public of what the FICAC will achieve.

FICAC surely gets in the news doesnt it? Sup Nasir Ali doesnt miss an opportunity to pose for the news cameras.

They seem to be getting around, thats for sure. From raiding the Commissioner Northerns Office to raiding the FHL offices.

I got an email from a reader in the North about the cowboy FICAC have engaged to lead their investigations in the North. Shefiff Major Moti Jattan has made 2 major EXPOSURES over the last few weeks.

Firts here was the the corruption in the Labasa Old Peoples Home where used and worn out beds and fridges donated by the producers of the Survivor series were allegedly unaccounted for.

Then came the allegations of corruption in the Commissioner Northerns Office. Major Moti Jattan surely has things covered in the North, doesn't he?

Who are we kidding?

Dont get me wrong. Corruption is corruption whether its in the millions or involves second hand single beds that somebody just wanted to get rid of.

But, what about the 370 files we have been hearing of?

What about the corruption in the Public Works Department where you launched a major raid (after informing the media and making sure to pose for a photograph). What about the $100 m lost from the Fijian economy due to corruption??

So you got some poor employees at the Labasa Old Peoples Home who are more or less volunteers anyway? Well done, that will surely make a huge difference in our National Budget.

Lets get to some real work now boys.

You've talked the talk now Walk the Walk.

Your failure to produce hard evidence is only playing into the hands of the detractors.

You are doing no one any favors, least of all to yourselves.

Sup Nasir Ali , get things going plse

Reports that "The Fiji Police Force's accounts office was searched by officers from the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption ", played out quite prominently in the media last week.

And guess what, nobody even bothered to tell the Acting Police Commissioner Romanu Tikotikoca .

Now all of us here at Loyal Fijian stand firmly against corruption and nepotism.

As we all remember, Nasir Ali was chucked out of the Police Credit Union for alleged discrepancies before the Clean Up began.

Now as Chief Investigator in FICAC he does seem to be pursuing certain individuals with a whole lot of vigour.

Senior Police Officer Sada Nand found this out the hard way last week as he was about to board a flight out of Nadi International Airport.

And to add to the confusion, Acting Police Commissioner Romanu Tikotikoca said that police investigators are still waiting for Ali to give his statement to back his allegations.

Sup Nasir Ali, please can we have some real investigating. Those 370 files on your desk that you keep telling us about might be a good place to start.

The longer this goes on, the more people start suspecting that there is some "score-settling" going on.
